If you want the best, go to the source. The airport's own Mid Stay car parks are just behind the departure building, less than a 5-minute walk away. Park, keep your keys and catch your flight, secure in the knowledge that your car will be protected by hourly patrols and CCTV while you're away on your well-earned break. When you get back, just walk to your car and drive off. Airport parking as simple as a trip to the shops.
Security measures
Mid Stay 1 is protected by 24-hour CCTV, entry and exit barriers and a fence, and is lit at night. Security guards patrol the car park every hour, 24 hours a day. The car park has been awarded the Park Mark, a security award for car parks which is accredited by the police.

Drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate - this can take up to a minute. If nothing happens, press the button marked "assistance" so you can speak to a member of staff through the intercom. Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking, and don't press the ticket button, as this will stop you being able to gain entry.

Once you're through the barrier find a space and keep your keys. Then just walk to the terminal - it takes 3-5 minutes.
Early or late? The car park offers a 6 hour grace period at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day, which is subject to change.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

The car park is within walking distance to the terminal.
Directions
- Leave the M1 at junction 24 from the north, following A453 Ashby Road, or junction 23A from the south.
- At the roundabout, take the exit for A453 Ashby Road.
- Continue straight over the mini-roundabout.
- Take a right at the traffic lights signposted for the airport.
- Take the first exit at the roundabout.
- Follow Viscount Road straight over another roundabout.
